Important findings Increase pruning height to 40 cm above ground in regions where the disease intensity is severe reduce the disease. Advancing the bottom pruning to March/April from June/July significantly reduces the disease intensity. Carbendazim, Captan, Captafol, Copper Oxychloride and Dinocap @ 0.1-0.2% concentration are found effective for controlling the disease. In severely disease prone zones, soil treatment with Captan, Captafol or Wettable sulphur at 8 kg/acre suppresses the soil borne inoculum reducing the disease severity. |
