Objectives

  • Collection of mulberry genotypes resistant/tolerant to root rot.
  • Standardization of micro propagation protocol.
  • Mass multiplication of induced shoots andin vitrorooting and hardening.
    • In vitroselection for disease resistance.
  • Better sprouting was observed when the explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with 2 mg of BAP.
  • 2% fungal toxin is found ideal forin vitroscreening of mulberry against root rot disease.
    • The standardized protocol may be followed while going for micro propagation of mulberry andin vitroscreening against root rot disease.
