Objectives

• To study the protease and amylase activity in the healthy and diseased mulberry leaves.
• To estimate the proteins and starch content quantitatively in the healthy and diseased mulberry leaves.

Important findings

Due to attack of fungal pathogens the biochemical components and enzyme activities in mulberry plants showed changes. This was due to altered metabolic activities of the host under pathogenesis which leads to failure of cocoon crop.
