Objectives

  • To develop bio-based control measure for stem canker and root rot in mulberry
  • Leaf extracts ofCalotropis giganteaandTrigonella forenumat 2% concentration inhibited the growth ofLasiodiplodia theobromae. This can be sprayed after every pruningThe cutting can be pre-treated with the extracts before planting.
  • Trichoderma viride(BCF-1) &Pseudomonas fluorescensisolated and evaluated can be used to control root rot and stem canker in mulberry.
